Outdoor Climbing Skills

For climbers ready to level up their technical skills and outdoor confidence.

Join us for a hands-on, two-day climbing clinic designed to build essential skills for outdoor top-rope climbing. Whether you're looking to reinforce your anchor systems or gain confidence with rappelling and cleaning routes, this course will give you the practical experience you need.

Day 1: Anchor Building + Gear Systems: Dive into the fundamentals of building solid and efficient top-rope anchors. You'll get familiar with a variety of gear and techniques climbers use outdoors, and you’ll practice building anchors in multiple configurations.

Day 2: Cleaning Anchors, Rappelling & Advanced Scenarios : Build on your anchor knowledge and focus on safe transitions from anchor cleaning to rappelling. You'll also practice problem-solving skills and simulate common outdoor challenges.

Bonus: Practice a Tyrolean Traverse (simulated in the gym) with a pack to prepare for real-world scenariosThis clinic is perfect for gym climbers looking to transition outside or anyone wanting to improve anchor-building and rappelling skills. All gear is provided, and instruction is hands-on and highly interactive.

Pre-Requisites: Top Rope Climbing & Belay Certification for Climbing Collective.

Women’s Climbing Meet Up

Join us for our women’s climbing meet-up led by our very own Julia Nelson. This is a welcoming and supportive space for women and non-binary climbers to connect, climb, and grow your skills—whether you're brand new to the sport or a seasoned crusher. We’ll warm up together, share beta, and encourage each other on and off the wall. Come solo or bring a friend, everyone is welcome! Let’s build strength, confidence, and community together.

This meetup happens twice a month on Thursdays, alternating each time between bouldering and rope climbing. For rope climbing meetups, top rope certification is required.

Belay Basics

Belay Basics is designed for individuals with little to no rope climbing experience. Throughout the session, participants will gain the knowledge and be able to perform all the skills and techniques needed for top rope belaying. At the completion of the course, you will have the ability to climb and belay for that day only. The next time you come in to climb, you will be required to take our belay test with the front desk staff to receive your official certification.

Bouldering Beta

Join us for Bouldering Beta, a dynamic weekly class dedicated to honing the skills necessary for successful bouldering adventures. Bouldering Beta is designed for climbers of all levels who are eager to improve their technique, strength, and problem-solving abilities on the bouldering wall.

Intro to Climbing

This series is the one-shop stop for your climbing needs! Taught over the course of two 2-hour sessions, Intro to Climbing includes a a lesson in belay basics, a top-rope efficiency lesson, bouldering orientation, auto belay orientation, and fundamental movement instruction, giving you all the tools you need to kick off your climbing journey.

Intro to Climbing is also a great way to learn your way around the gym, meet new friends, and experience all the climbing our facilities have to offer. All rentals are included.

Intro to Bouldering

This clinic is designed to introduce the fundamentals of bouldering such as understanding the significance of warming up and cooling down, gaining insight into the diverse range of hold types and technique of body positioning to help you conquer each climb.  How to both climb and fall safely and the pivotal role of footwork.

After this intensive two-hour clinic, you'll be equipped to approach bouldering with confidence and skill. Elevate your climbing experience with us!

Learn to Lead

This series is designed for experienced top-rope climbers who want to take their skills to the next level by learning how to lead climb. Over the course of two sessions, you will learn the basics of lead climbing, including proper clipping techniques, rope management, belaying a lead climber, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to practice taking and catching falls under the guidance of our instructors. At the completion of this course you will have the ability to lead climb and lead belay for that day only. The next time you come in to climb, you will be required to take our lead test with the front desk staff to receive your official certification.

Parents Night Out

Fridays | 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Enjoy a night out in Longmont while your kids climb, play, and explore at Climbing Collective! Parent’s Night Out includes both bouldering and rope climbing, plus games and guided challenges with our experienced coaches. It’s a fun, active evening that gives parents time to unwind while kids stay engaged and moving.

Climbing Coaching

Take your climbing to the next level with one of our expert coaches.

Whether you need to gain confidence, learn new techniques, or build strength, our coaches are here to help individuals and small groups improve their climbing.

Before you schedule a session you can choose to meet with your climbing coach for a free 30 min consultation.

This will help you to zero in on your specific goals and get you the results you're looking for. This is not required, communication can also be done over email prior to your session.

Namaste and IPA

Flow, sip, and vibe with us under the open sky! Join our Namaste & IPA Yoga Class where we blend mindful movement, cold brews, and epic mountain views.
Time: Grab your beer at 5:45 PM, then meet us outside by the outdoor climbing wall. Class begins at 6:00 and ends at 7:00

What: A fun, all-levels yoga flow where you're encouraged to sip and flow!

Why: Build community, enjoy the mountains, and toast to new friends and good vibes.
