Barb Howe

My climbing journey began 30 years ago on the gritstone crags of West Virginia, and since then, I’ve explored diverse terrain across the United States and abroad. From bouldering in Iceland to climbing the big walls of Yosemite, I’ve experienced the full value of climbing. My journey is far from over though and I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. For nearly 20 years, I’ve taught various aspects of climbing, with a passion for building climbers’ confidence, prioritizing safety, fostering a fun atmosphere, and refining skills at every level.

Specialization: I work with climbers of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced athletes, tailoring sessions to meet individual goals. Whether you're focused on improving technique, overcoming fear, building strength, preventing injury, transitioning to outdoor climbing, or simply enjoying the sport, I can help you!

Harley Parsons

Harley has gathered a substantial amount of knowledge of the sport through his years as a youth USA Climbing competitor which he aged out and is now competing on the collegiate circuit . As he has a wealth of knowledge in the competition side of climbing he also has great level of outdoor climbing knowledge as well. He loves passing on his extensive knowledge of the sport to other people as a climbing coach, which is one of his greatest passions. He loves coaching every time of climbing including bouldering, sport climbing, and outdoor climbing. Harley has been coaching for 5+ years and is well versed in the art. He loves coaching all ages and can’t wait you help you reach your climbing goals.

How can expect you improve your climbing with Coach Harley?

Addu Gurumurthy

With a B.S. in Exercise Science, Addu’s coaching blends biomechanics with years of hands-on experience working with climbers across a wide range of abilities. His approach is centered on thoughtful and intentional movement to build familiarity within common climbing movement patterns. As a climber far too familiar with injury, understanding movements and using evidence-based practices to minimize risk and promote a growth mindset are at the forefront of his focus. Using his past experience within the USA Climbing collegiate circuit and years of route setting, Addu loves to teach movement as tools to solve the problems present on a climb.  His core principles are based in equipping climbers with all the tools necessary to take on any problems they may face, both on and off the wall.

Junior Climbing Coaches

These coaches have 4 years or less of climbing coaching experience. Ideal for beginners and youth climbers, providing foundational skills and guidance in a supportive environment.

Lauren Jackson (LJ)

LJ has garnered an extensive knowledge of climbing through years of high level competition, frequent outdoor climbing trips, and regular recreational indoor climbing. LJ is well versed in coaching both children and adults, and thoroughly enjoys helping those of any age to be able to cultivate their passion for the sport of climbing. Whether you’re looking to build your outdoor climbing abilities, prepare for competitions, or simply break into the sport, LJ would love to provide you the tools to attain your climbing goals.

Adam McGoff

Adam is a coach and climbing instructor who began climbing 6 years ago and quickly developed a passion for all kinds of climbing. His journey began with climbing trips at the Red River Gorge in Kentucky, and has progressed to leading teams on Mt. Rainier, Denali, and guiding clients in the Rocky Mountains. Coaching sessions with Adam will help you create lifelong goals and fun in your climbing journey. With an approach rooted in fundamentals, technique, and "stoke", Adam is ready to help you on your goals whether it is climbing your first boulder problem or learning how to climb outside on rock, ice, and snow.

Brandt Morris

Brandt is a passionate climber who fell in love with the sport because of how naturally it builds functional strength, body awareness, and movement that translates beyond the wall. What keeps him hooked, and what he loves sharing, is that climbing can be whatever you want it to be: a personal challenge, a social outlet, or a mental reset.

Brandt specializes in helping beginners feel excited and confident getting started, while guiding intermediate climbers into more advanced stages of the sport. His coaching focuses in sustainability, helping clients build strong habits and a long-term relationship with climbing that avoids burnout and injury. Brandt believes that progress should feel good, not forced, and that having fun is essential to staying consistent and improving.
