Employment Type: 40 hours/week

Compensation: $18.72/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking an organized, customer-focused, and energetic Front Desk Manager (FDM) to lead the front desk operations at our gym. The Front Desk Manager is a main point of contact for members and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience while promoting our gym’s services, programs, and community.

In this role, you will assist the AGM in overseeing a team of front desk staff, maintaining operational excellence, and driving customer satisfaction. A successful candidate is a team player with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for climbing/fitness/yoga.

Job Duties

  • Respond to customer inquiries, emails, and voicemails promptly.

  • Provide support to staff, including handling scheduling adjustments and sidework oversight.

  • Assist the AGM in hiring, training, and scheduling Front Desk Staff.

  • Ensure the gym is clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.

  • Manage deliveries and maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Manage class sign-ups, cancellations, and communication.

  • Assist the Programs Director with class scheduling and staffing.

  • Collaborate with management to improve operations.

  • Processing no-shows and helping yoga teachers problem solve checkins.

  • Assist the AGM with running staff meetings and provide regular updates to staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in a climbing gym customer service role.

  • In-depth knowledge of bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.

  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

  • A passion for climbing/fitness/yoga.
