Outdoor Climbing Skills

For climbers ready to level up their technical skills and outdoor confidence.

Join us for a hands-on, two-day climbing clinic designed to build essential skills for outdoor top-rope climbing. Whether you're looking to reinforce your anchor systems or gain confidence with rappelling and cleaning routes, this course will give you the practical experience you need.

Day 1: Anchor Building + Gear Systems: Dive into the fundamentals of building solid and efficient top-rope anchors. You'll get familiar with a variety of gear and techniques climbers use outdoors, and you’ll practice building anchors in multiple configurations.

Day 2: Cleaning Anchors, Rappelling & Advanced Scenarios : Build on your anchor knowledge and focus on safe transitions from anchor cleaning to rappelling. You'll also practice problem-solving skills and simulate common outdoor challenges.

Bonus: Practice a Tyrolean Traverse (simulated in the gym) with a pack to prepare for real-world scenariosThis clinic is perfect for gym climbers looking to transition outside or anyone wanting to improve anchor-building and rappelling skills. All gear is provided, and instruction is hands-on and highly interactive.

Pre-Requisites: Top Rope Climbing & Belay Certification for Climbing Collective.

Training Board 101

Curious about climbing-specific training tools but not sure where to start? Training Boards 101 is your hands-on introduction to two essential tools for building strength and precision: the MoonBoardand the hangboard.

In this one-hour clinic, you'll learn:

  • How the Moon Board works — navigating the app, understanding grades, lighting problems, and climbing efficiently

  • Safe hangboarding practices — proper form, injury prevention, and beginner-friendly protocols for finger strength training

Whether you're prepping for a project or just want to train smarter, this session will give you the confidence to incorporate these powerful tools into your climbing routine. It's perfect for climbers new to structured training or anyone looking to make the most of their gym sessions.

Belay Basics

Belay Basics is designed for individuals with little to no rope climbing experience. Throughout the session, participants will gain the knowledge and be able to perform all the skills and techniques needed for top rope belaying. At the completion of the course, you will have the ability to climb and belay for that day only. The next time you come in to climb, you will be required to take our belay test with the front desk staff to receive your official certification.

Climbing Beta - Weekly Class Technique

Join us for Climbing Beta, a weekly class where one bouldering problem and one rope route are revealed and explored in depth. Led by an experienced Climbing Collective coach, this class is all about unlocking the beta—the movement strategies and techniques—that will help you break through plateaus and climb with more confidence and control.

Intro to Climbing

Looking to get started with climbing but not sure where to begin? This two-hour clinic is the perfect introduction to the fundamentals of Bouldering, Rope and Auto Belay climbing. You’ll learn the importance of warming up and cooling down, how to identify and use different hold types, and develop key skills like body positioning, footwork, and how to climb and fall safely.

Whether you're brand new to climbing or just want a stronger foundation, this class will equip you with the confidence and techniques you need to climb smarter and safer. Elevate your climbing experience—start strong with us!

Intro to Bouldering

This clinic is designed to introduce the fundamentals of bouldering such as understanding the significance of warming up and cooling down, gaining insight into the diverse range of hold types and technique of body positioning to help you conquer each climb.  How to both climb and fall safely and the pivotal role of footwork.

After this intensive two-hour clinic, you'll be equipped to approach bouldering with confidence and skill. Elevate your climbing experience with us!

Crux Care: Climbing Injury Prevention & Management

Crux Care is your go-to clinic for understanding and managing Common Climbing Injuries. We’ll break down the most frequent climbing-related injuries, discuss key Injury Prevention Strategies, and cover essential First Aid for Climbing Techniques. Whether you're tackling boulders or big walls, this workshop will help keep you strong, safe, and climbing at your best!

Learn to Lead

This series is designed for experienced top-rope climbers who want to take their skills to the next level by learning how to lead climb. Over the course of two sessions, you will learn the basics of lead climbing, including proper clipping techniques, rope management, belaying a lead climber, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to practice taking and catching falls under the guidance of our instructors. At the completion of this course you will have the ability to lead climb and lead belay for that day only. The next time you come in to climb, you will be required to take our lead test with the front desk staff to receive your official certification.

This will help you to zero in on your specific goals and get you the results you're looking for. This is not required, communication can also be done over email prior to your session.
